Today, advances in treatment have changed what it means to live with HIV. With effective treatment, people with HIV can live long, healthy lives. When HIV treatment reduces the amount of virus in the blood to an undetectable level and it remains there, there is no risk of transmitting HIV through sex, known as U=U, or Undetectable = Untransmittable.
