Akanksha Sharma, MBBS
Earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Wenzhou Medical University in China, where she completed a comprehensive, English-medium medical curriculum emphasizing both foundational sciences and clinical training across core specialties.
I’m inspired by THFC’s commitment to caring for underserved communities. Training in an environment that values continuity, advocacy, and addressing social determinants of health aligns with my interest in equitable, community-focused pediatrics.

Brishia Kentish, MD
Earned her MD from the Florida International University-American University of Antigua College of Medicine, where she completed her clinical training across diverse healthcare settings in New York, Florida, California, and Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Tampa.
I chose Tampa Family Health Centers to return home and serve the community that shaped my personal and academic growth. I am passionate about building this new pediatric program with long-term patient relationships and contributing to meaningful, community-centered care.

Farah Hussein, MBBCh, MD
Holds dual medical degrees, having earned her MBBCh from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt and her Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from Columbus Central University School of Medicine. She is ESPEN-certified in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism and has a strong focus on lifestyle and obesity medicine.
I chose TFHC because its mission to provide accessible, high-quality care deeply resonates with my commitment to health equity. I am specifically inspired by the visionary leadership and the opportunity to serve Tampa’s diverse community within this inaugural class.

Tahseen Munshi, DO
Earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine- Auburn, and completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Georgia, where she dual majored in Biology and Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience.
I chose KPIGME-TFHC because of its commitment to serving diverse populations with a strong focus on community- based care. Having grown up in Florida, I am excited to return to the Sunshine State. As a longtime Disney enthusiast with an appreciation for the diverse culture of Tampa Bay, I am excited to continuing to serve the local community after residency.
